Stewart's thoughts on out of luck Rovers

It’s hard to keep saying we are just unlucky after the last couple games but today’s game summed that up once again and anyone watching would likely have seen just how unfortunate we were on several occasions today.

Admittedly, we were a bit slow to start and gave Kennoway a couple of soft early chances. We go behind after just two minutes and although it was a wicked ball across the face of goal, we might have dealt with it a bit better before it reached the danger area.

From that point onward, we were creating chance after chance, hitting the cross bar four times in the space of about 10 minutes and it was quite unbelievable that none of them went in.

Half time came and the message was to keep going they way we had been as we felt we were more than in the game at this stage.

Again we hit woodwork just straight after half time and continued to pile on the pressure.

But just that one moment of concentration loss and we lose a second and with just over twenty minutes to go the task got that bit tougher.

It didn’t help matters that after using all our subs, Ross lamb had to go off injured after a poor challenge from behind but as has been the case throughout the season, the lads battled hard until the end. Even with the numeric disadvantage, we still created the better of the chances but it just wasn’t our day in front of goal.

Going into next week, we have our new Gaffer coming in which should steady the ship and our focus is on a good week on the training ground ahead of next weekend’s visit from Easthouses Lily.
