Paul's thoughts on a very satisfying night's work

I asked for a bounce back after Saturday and that’s certainly what I got tonight.

From start finish, every single player was superb and played aggressively and on the front foot and they delivered a performance worthy of beating any team. No disrespect to Ormiston but that could’ve been a few more but we’re more than happy with four goals and a clean sheet.

The boys are capable of these performances and, when it all clicks, they are levels above.

I’ve been in football a long time; people fall out, have off days, other problems can creep in but the biggest compliment I could give to the boys come matchday is that we all become one big family and to me I couldn’t be any prouder than when watching them playing like that tonight for each other. This for me, playing all these years, is probably the best changing room I’ve been in.

We have a free Saturday this week so it’s a great opportunity for the lads to get out and enjoy themselves and make a dent in fines kitty they’ve built up. They fully deserve it after all the hard work in recent weeks.

We wish Ormiston all the best in their survival hunt.
